Grace
I’ve been riding with Nessa for about 6 years. She is an incredible teacher, rider, and friend.
I love how she is able to tailor her coaching to what you know- you don’t get a firehose of information if you’re just learning how to trot! She teaches you each thing as it comes. This makes lessons feel really encouraging and like you achieve something each and every time. From diagonals to distances, she knows exactly how to teach you in a way that isn’t overwhelming and always makes you feel proud.
She’s helped me find three incredible horses over the past six years. I really wanted to give thoroughbreds a career after the racetrack, and together we found two amazing OTTBs (Empire and Goose), one of whom is still my partner today! I also recently bought a gorgeous warmblood mare that she found, who I named Owl. She is so careful and thorough when we look for horses and willing to look hard and long for the exact perfect fit.
Nessa also brought me into the show world! I had never done a horse show before, though it had always been a dream. Nessa made that totally achievable and now I think we’ve done about a dozen shows together! We started in the walk trot division in 2022 and have now shown through the 3 foot hunters and the 0.85 jumpers. One thing I love best about Nessa is that she will never put you in a class she doesn’t feel like you’re ready for- so I know if she’s putting me in something, she truly believes I’ll be successful.
Nessa is kind, massively talented, generous, and caring. I am so happy I found her!
